Annabel Turner
Founder, Director
Annabel practised as a barrister for 10 years before her work as an advisor to the International Justice Mission's "Not on My Screen" campaign to prevent online child sexual exploitation, brought her to specialising in children's digital rights, online harms and online safety.
Annabel founded Cybersafe Scotland in 2018 and now works as a speaker and trainer, as well as on the co-design of resources and support to help young people online.
She is an expert in online harms and online exploitation and in her spare time continues to help as an advisor to the International Justice Mission, advising on combatting the online sexual exploitation of children internationally and in Scotland.
She was the Chair of the Child Exploitation Group as part of the Aberdeen Child Protection Committee from 2019-2026. In 2025 she was named as one of the Most Inspiring Women in the UK in Cyber and in 2026 she was awarded the Cyber Evangelist of the Year Award in Scotland.

Alana Hill
Project Worker
Meet Alana our project support worker. Alana earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology in the U.S before moving to Scotland where she completed a Masters of Research in Psychology at the University of Aberdeen. She’s remained in Aberdeen and is now working on her Doctorate of Counselling, after which she plans to become a child psychologist. She’s previously volunteered with Cybersafe’s Respected and Safe Programme and is now assisting the development of group sessions, with focus on new Targeted Support for boys. Outside of work and study she spends her time outdoors with her little dog or indoors working on crafts.
Lesley Parker
Project Worker
Meet Lesley, our Project Worker, who has recently achieved a BCS in Psychology after deciding (at 40 years old) to return to school!
Previous jobs include mental health support, energy advice and over 20 years as a manager for a party plan team!
Lesley can be found at Pittodrie on match days, working with the Supporter Engagement Team for her beloved Aberdeen FC. When not working will either be reading, watching crime documentaries or spending time with her family and friends - unless she's forcing hugs on her cat Dexter.
Alice Macduff-Duncan
Project Worker
Meet Alice, our Project Worker, who studied Philosophy at the University of St Andrews before working as an Au Pair in Spain and interning at UCB1 radio station in Stoke-on-Trent. She has volunteered at children's camps since 2017 as well as teaching English as a foreign language at summer school. With an interest in digital media and working with children and teenagers, Alice is excited to combine her interests to create a safe space for children in schools.
Outside of work, she enjoys hanging off climbing walls, watching detective series and eating unhealthy amounts of instant ramen.
Andrew Ferguson
Project Worker
Meet Andrew, our Project Worker. Born in Aberdeen and having lived in America for many years growing up he has a unique perspective of culture and a highly relevant understanding of the current online world. He has experience of youth and volunteering work and is passionate about seeing change in the lives of young people. He also has experience in corporate financial services . Andrew loves music and creativity - he is an experienced drummer who performs frequently in church and is refining other instruments and techniques constantly.
Lee Anne Hepburn
Administrator
Meet Lee Anne, our Administrator, who has a background in training and development and has worked in the Oil & Gas sector and with local organisations in Aberdeen. She is experience in business support and a keen interest in online safety and has recently started an degree in Sociology at RGU (at the age of 57)
When not working, Lee Anne, who lives in Aberdeenshire, can be found walking her dog Zeus and spending time in the garden.
Katrina Murray
Project Worker
Meet Katrina our project worker. Katrina studied Sociology and Politics at the University of Edinburgh and developed her interest in research and writing about the impact of digital media use on children and young people during her degree. She was integral to Cybersafe’s campaign around financially motivated sexual extortion and is now the project worker for the Respected and Safe Programme in Aberdeen.
Aaron Bremner
Project Worker
Meet Aaron our project worker. Aaron studied History at the University of Aberdeen, with a particular focus on medieval Scottish society. He has also spent time volunteering abroad, where he has taught children and supported local communities. These experiences sparked his interest in education and safeguarding, and he is now assisting in our delivery of the Respected and Safe school programme. When he’s not working, Aaron can usually be found gaming, hiking, or getting lost in a good book.

Caroline Laurenson
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead
Caroline brings over 15 years of technical consulting experience and strong business and analytical skills. A qualified engineer and project manager by background, with experience in managing complex multi-million pound projects, she takes a keen interest in design thinking and user-centred design. Caroline has developed impact frameworks for organisations, including a Scottish Enterprise funded project to create an Impact Toolkit for smart homes in social housing.
Sandra Sutherland
Education Advisor
Sandra has spent her professional life working in education in a variety of areas. Her area of expertise is inclusion and additional support needs. Sandra has delivered educational training abroad on several occasions ensuring that she has a wide understanding of cross-cultural awareness.
Pamela Sloan
Communications Advisor, Volunteer
Pamela has a background in Public Relations, is a busy mum of four and has worked as a member of school support staff in the North East of Scotland.
Lucy Ferguson
Strategic Advisor
Lucy is passionate about people and engineering. She is the Global Discipline Head for Mechanical Engineering at Shell. For over 30 years she has worked in the Oil and gas sector having started at BP Grangemouth Refinery and Chemical plant, then working offshore in the North sea, later including roles in Operations, Engineering and Project Management in the UK, America and Globally. Whilst working in Houston and New Orleans she supported anti-human trafficking charities – and on her return to Aberdeen with Shell in her spare time has supported the protection of women and children.
Lucy is married to Ian and they have 4 children, live in Aberdeen, Scotland where together they enjoy church, cycling, hiking, and the outdoors with their dog.

Faith Milne
​Faith is a solicitor from Aberdeenshire. She gained experience working with young people whilst she was a youth leader. Faith loves to read, dance and have fun with her large family!
